Event Information:

Despite the bad omens of torrential rain precipitating floods and the Water Board closing the venue to the lecture, all went surprisingly well. The diversion did challenge the navigational skills of some members but an intrepid audience gathered for Richard Parnaby’s lecture on the History of Welsh architecture in 20  buildings. We whizzed around Wales from Burial Chambers in the West, via the Alternative Energy Centre in Mid Wales, Castles in North Wales and Art Deco factories in the Valley’s plus many more. The speed at which we moved through the centuries and around Wales was breath-taking.  It was an entertaining and informative lecture and we are very grateful to Richard for offering his services and enduring the deluge to deliver it.  Members were also able to visit the Beast House and the House before leaving.
